This quote by Gordon Parks hit home with me. I saw a show of his at the New Orleans Museum of Art several years ago and was amazed by the seamless quality of photography and writing. I guess fear is a good friend when he keeps you up at night reading.
Great quote from a superb 20th Century renaissance man. If you haven't seen it, "Half Past Autumn: the Life and Works of Gordon Parks" is a fantastic documentary.
